Gitlitz Cottage: November 2007

November 6, 2007 -- The mantle is nearly finished. The flash from the camera washed out much of the detail. It has close to 200 pieces in it.

November 7, 2007 -- The mantle is complete except for the finish. This view shows the detail and depth of the mantle.

November 7, 2007 -- The master bedroom wardrobe is being finished. Doors are being installed today. The mirrors on the two outside doors have protective plastic on them still.

November 7, 2007 -- The green barrier fence is now gone. Soon the temporary power pole will be removed.

November 8, 2007 -- The floor has a final coat on it. Today shoe molding will be installed.

November 8, 2007 -- The barrier fence is down. This is the rear porch and steps down to the ground. The access cover under the porch is open.

November 8, 2007 -- This is the view from the lake. It is a cold morning here. Notice the frost on the roofs. The garage is on the right side.

November 8, 2007 -- This is the view from near the road. The garage is on the left. The lake is barely visible between the cottage and garage.

November 16, 2007 -- Landscaping is being planted. The driveway steel border keeps the driveway gravel from the yard. Gravel will be installed in the next few days.

November 16, 2007 -- The kitchen is finished. Panels were put on the two drawer refrigerators. One refrigerator is just to the left of the sink. The other is on the wall at the left.

November 16, 2007 -- The master bedroom wardrobe cabinet is finished. The doors in the center section open and then slide back into the cabinet. The shelves are adjustable.

November 29, 2007 -- A new walk has been built from the front door to the driveway. It is brick to match the other walks. The driveway will be filled with gravel.

November 29, 2007 -- A small curved walk was added from the driveway to the storage room under the garage deck.

November 29, 2007 -- The mantle has been stained and sealed. Notice how well it matches the floor.

November 29, 2007 -- The screened back porch is ready for guests. This is the northwest corner.

November 29, 2007 -- The southwest corner also looks very inviting. To the right of this photo is a very beautiful lake view.

November 29, 2007 -- The back doors have unique lanterns on each side of them.

November 29, 2007 -- The wardrobe Ponds & Sons built is finished and painted. It is a very nice addition to the master suite.

November 30, 2007 -- The landscaping is nearly complete. Areas of pine straw neatly compliment the brick walk and newly laid sod.
