February 2, 2009 -- It's a little hard to tell but the moulding was finished inside of the panelled areas today. The moulding under the stool is also finished.
February 2, 2009 -- I didn't get a picture before they covered the tops but the Corian tops in the laundry were installed today.
February 3, 2009 -- The doorway to the ante room from the master bath is now all trimmed out. It looks good with the window beyond.
February 3, 2009 -- The study cabinet was installed today. This cabinet is made completely of cherry and will house a TV and the house stereo.
February 3, 2009 -- Here is the same cabinet again but without the flash. The cherry really looks nice!
February 5, 2009 -- The trim is nearly finished around the study windows. Just a few more pieces of moulding in the panels and it is done.
February 5, 2009 -- The condensor units were installed a week or so ago. These are on the north side and are just awaiting electricity to start up.
February 5, 2009 -- Here is the condensor unit in the south service yard. Soon the electricity will be on and we can condition the inside of the house.
February 5, 2009 -- Here is where electricity will enter the house. We are now ready for power to be turned on to the house.
February 6, 2009 -- The mantle is almost finished now. It will have a slate surround and hearth and will be quite handsome when finished.
February 9, 2009 -- Here is a view of the outside of the north service yard with the copper caps installed. It will be painted the darker color eventually.
February 9, 2009 -- This the south service yard with the copper caps installed. The trim around them will be painted to match the rest of the service yard.
February 10, 2009 -- The exterior metal rails were installed today. These lead from the rear porch to the deck and then to the ground.
February 10, 2009 -- These are the rails directly outside of the rear entry.
February 10, 2009 -- Here is a view from another angle. This entry looks really good with these rails.
February 10, 2009 -- The interior doors finally arrived today. They will be installed in the remainder of this week.
February 10, 2009 -- Here are the rest of the interior doors. These are very nice style & rail doors and will look great when finished.
February 11, 2009 -- Most of the interior doors were installed today. This is a stainable wood door in the foyer.
February 11, 2009 -- Here are the double doors for bedroom 2. This and all of the remainder of the doors in the house will be painted.
February 12, 2009 -- The doors in the studio are installed now. They are 4 panels since they are only 6'-8" tall. They will have trim soon.
February 17, 2009 -- Here is the finished trim in the hall to the master bedroom showing the pocket door in the closed position.
February 17, 2009 -- The tile on the master bath tub deck was finished today. It turned out really nice.
February 17, 2009 -- Here are the finished trimmed doors in the studio. These are shorter doors so they only have 4 panels instead of 5.
February 20, 2009 -- The great room trusses are being installed. They are made of beams of solid Douglas fir.
February 20, 2009 -- A stair rail is now on the stairs to Mary's studio. The newel post will have a cap shortly.
February 20, 2009 -- The upper flight of stairs has a handrail on the wall. Notice the finished floor has not been installed upstairs yet.
February 23, 2009 -- The great room beam trusses are now installed. This is a view towards the fireplace.
February 23, 2009 -- Here is a view towards the kitchen. The trusses will have a bracket on the 'X' in the center eventually.
February 25, 2009 -- Here is another good view of the Douglas Fir trusses in the great room. The steel X brace is on order and will be installed in the center.
February 25, 2009 -- The floor finishing began today. This is a view of the north gallery and it has now been sanded once.
February 25, 2009 -- This is a view of the master bedroom. It has also been sanded once and will be resanded again and then stained.
February 25, 2009 -- Here are the completed master bathroom mirror frames. These will have mirrors inset with lights mounted on them.
