\March 5, 2009 -- Here are the stained floors of the north gallery. They were freshly stained yesterday and will get their finish coat tomorrow.
March 5, 2009 -- This is the south gallery with the floor stained. This staining was done two days ago and has toned down from when it was fresh.
March 5, 2009 -- This is the floor of the study with its stain applied. Here again the floor has toned down a bit once the stain cured out.
March 5, 2009 -- This is the walnut floors of the great room with its stain applied. It will get it finish coat today or tomorrow.
March 5, 2009 -- This is more of the walnut looking towards the fireplace. The floor looks better in person and will really pop out when the finish is applied.
March 5, 2009 -- This is your view of the walnut coming through the front door. Notice how bright this room is from the early morning sun.
March 5, 2009 -- This is the stairs up to the studio. Notice the finished newel cap and the stained treads and handrail.
March 10, 2009 -- Planting began on screening plants today. These are the trees on the north side of the lot.
March 10, 2009 -- This is a view from the road of the house through the plants on the north side. The house will eventually be mostly hidden.
March 11, 2009 -- These screening plants were planted today. These are the plants on the south side of the lot.
March 11, 2009 -- This is a view of the house from the road through the plants on the south side. There will be several more plants eventually.
March 11, 2009 -- The priming began yesterday. Most of the house is now primed. This is the view from the owner's entry.
March 11, 2009 -- Here are the stairs all primed in. The Heart Pine treads and rails were carefully covered before priming.
March 11, 2009 -- This is the great room all primed in as well as some of the shelving for the pantry closet.
March 11, 2009 -- Here is the south gallery all primed in. You can see where they have now started their puttying.
March 11, 2009 -- Here is Bedroom 3 all primed and puttied. All of the nail holes and some of the major imperfections in the wood are puttied.
March 13, 2009 -- The screening is complete on the south side of the property now. This is the first view you see when riding on the road.
March 13, 2009 -- Here is the view a little farther up the road. Where the power line goes through is the only place not screened.
March 13, 2009 -- Even farther north up the road this is the view under the oak tree to the right of the driveway.
March 13, 2009 -- A little farther along and you can see that it opens up a bit and needs more screening to keep the house 75% hidden.
March 13, 2009 -- Here is the view of the house from the head of the driveway. A cedar tree will fill the far gap and provide the remaining screening.
March 13, 2009 -- One more wax myrtle bush goes in this gap and then some smaller plants which will complete the screening from this angle.
March 23, 2009 -- The interior painting is coming right along. Here is the first coat of the paint color in the foyer. One more coat and it will be done.
March 23, 2009 -- This is the high area of the foyer showing the contrast between the ceiling and walls.
March 23, 2009 -- Here is a photo of the living room with the trim paint finished and a coat of tinted primer applied. The final color will be applied shortly.
March 23, 2009 -- This is a view towards the north gallery with its first coat of wall paint applied.
March 31, 2009 -- Here is the master shower door installed. The glass pattern is Flutex and is very private.
March 31, 2009 -- This is a view of the closet and bathroom walls of the studio. The flooring here will go down in the next few days.
March 31, 2009 -- Here is the pantry closet off the kitchen. It will have a lot of shelves and storage space when completed.
March 31, 2009 -- Here is a view of the great room beams with their two coats of finish on them. They will be finished out with an X brace in the middle.
March 31, 2009 -- Here is bedroom #2 with the walls and trim painted and the fan and can lights installed.
March 31, 2009 -- This is the north side of bedroom #3 and shows the linen cabinet complete with doors.
